PRESS RELEASE: Public procurement procedure for air pollution measuring equipment is proclaimed
Mobile stations and laboratory equipment for measuring will be procured
Budapest, 5. August, 2013. – The Ministry of Rural Development buys 144 sampling units, 31 laboratory instruments and two mobile measurement stations. Public procurement procedure is proclamed. The development of the air quality monitoring network costs 1.4 billion HUF. The project will be realized with Swiss support.
The Ministry of Rural Development develops the Hungarian air quality network (OLM) and laboratory background with a 1.4 billion HUF support given by the Swiss Contribution.
The project is aimed at monitoring air quality in towns and small regions not tested with automatic online measurement stations. Furthermore, the project will create the conditions of testing for toxic metal and carcinogenic poly-aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) compounds based on on-site manual sampling and analysis in regional laboratories.

on 23 July. Deadline of application is 13 September 2013.
To ensure the effective communication, the Ministry of Rural Development has launched a new website at svajcalevegoert.hu that contains detailed information about the project, the state of air pollution in Hungary and about the current assessment of air quality.
